About the Artist
High Desert Studio
High Desert Studio is the work of Jordan Nicole, a Southern California artist born in San Diego in 1992. Painted on natural textiles, her compositions are shaped as much by the fibers beneath the pigment as by the gestures of her hand. Translucent layers seep into the weave, blurring intention with chance until each surface feels alive in its stillness. Her work traces the balance between earthly materials and the intangible realms of emotion and creation.
